Ardilaun Square is a small cul-de-sac that can be found in Ballybough, Dublin 3, Ireland. The area of Ballybough may be a ‘poor town’ but that does not mean it is devoid of life, intellect or the same vibrancy that can be found in any community in Ireland. There is dereliction in Ballybough and the area in general is in need of regeneration.
There are 8 terraced houses on Ardilaun Square and the square can be found by following Ardilaun Road from James Avenue. The approach to our humble square is a short walk and our terrace is home to a tightly knit community. Many of our residents have been here for 20 years or more. We have had a number of new residents joining our community in recent years and every new baby brings new life to our square.
Over the coming months we will bring you information about and photos of our humble abode, the square we have come to love and call home. As the area of Ballybough changes around us we will document and publish some of those changes. A collection of interesting photos will be published. We feel a picture speaks a thousand words so we can say a lot with just a few photos! We hope our blog and all it has to offer will be of interest to anyone wishing to visit Ardilaun Square and a fun community memorabilia project for all involved.
