The self appointed neighbourhood watch group hold a “speculate about the neighbours private lives meeting” every Sunday evening on Ardilaun Square. It was revealed at last nights meeting that Google appear to have fabricated a thoroughfare, at the back of the terrace through Croke Park. This thoroughfare had been, according to Google, open a few years. This non-existent thoroughfare delayed a food delivery last Monday night it was revealed. “My kebab was getting cold” said one resident “and nobody wants that”. “The poor chap was very confused because he had trusted Google”.
Another resident added that they had a curry delivered nearly cold as that delivery driver was also being sent in to Croke Park. “The driver said that she knew that couldn’t be right and she just followed the map and ignored the directions and that’s how we got the curry after”. Baffled residents gossiped about the belief that the error was previously reported to Google before last Monday’s kebab cooling conundrum. Late last year Google navigated a route to Drogheda for a resident directing them through Gate A19 and out the other side. This gate, at the end of the cul-de-sac leads into a public space that is blocked off to the public years now.
The gate can be seen on Google Streetview but the Google bots appeared unaware of the gate being there. “Too much Artificial Intelligence and not enough actual intelligence running the show at Google” said somebody. “Why are the humans not checking stuff before it’s published” asked somebody else? This matter has since been rectified by Google after perhaps being reported more than once. This should be a relief for everybody and the stadium security at the Josephs Avenue gate. We can all rest assured that they won’t have to deal with any random, spontaneous deliveries now.
