Curtain twitchers of Ardilaun Square and Ardilaun Road have reported hearing strange sounds in the dead of night while on self appointed neighbourhood watch. While patrolling, one neighbour claims “it was like the sort of thing you’d hear on a pig farm, it put me in mind of My Cousin Vinny”.
Another neighbour said “I was just having a smoke yea, when I heard what sounded like a pig getting lashed out of it, yeno”? “We were out checking out the state of your ones gaff over there, when we heard it”. “It defo sounded like some pig like yoke” two local busy bodies reported.
Our photography team have so far been unable to obtain a snap of this alleged “pig like yoke”. After a lengthily meeting between the photography team and the journalism team, it was decided that one of our investigative journalists be tasked with obtaining a sound or video recording of the mysterious creature of the night.
The community is aware that the area is inhabited by various wildlife, including foxes, bats, cats and an array of birds, waterfowl and rats. These strange sounds have never been heard before, both cul-de-sac and street are usually very quiet at night. Whatever it is that is out there, it can be sure our curtain twitchers are on to it!
We don’t know if its a who or a what, if its real or if its not, maybe it’s just a pig in the city. Maybe it will turn out to be a speaker up a tree or on top of a lamp post where nobody can see. Or maybe its a legend and it just doesn’t exist. Maybe its a funny tale that just ends with a twist.
