Above is the Croke Villas site after 3 of the blocks were demolished. Last block standing can be seen as well as the green space that was originally part of the flats complex.
The pictures below show Ardilaun Square, the bottom of the cul-de-sac with Croke Villas flats. The only 4 storey block overlooked the canal and Ardilaun Square. In the background 1 of the 5 storey blocks that overlooked Sackville Avenue from its front and Ardilaun Square from its rear. This block and the one beside it, as well as the 4 storey block are all gone now (Nov 2019) and only 1 of the 4 remains today.
