“Damo’s coming back for me too” fears remaining Croke Villas block

Last block standing of the Croke Villas 4 has been spotted by a camera peeking out around the new building, today October 31st, as D-Day approaches. Last block standing has stood for nearly 2 years since its counterparts were utterly demolished by Damien Tinnelly & Co in October and November 2017.

At the time of demolition it was reported that some locals said about Croke Villas, “I’m sick of looking at them”, while others said” its a disgrace all that social housing knocked down”. At the time many of the locals reminisced fondly of their time in and around Croke Villas flats.

The remaining residents of the Croke Villas flats, it is suspected must dwell in anticipation of the day when they will move in to the lovely new houses on Ballybough Road, which are coming along nicely. It is suspected that last block standing is living in fear of Damo’s muncher.
